A new close working relationship has been established between TSC and Ellington & Hereson Secondary School to help develop the schools footballing talent.
This will create a link between TSC and the school which will provide specialist football coaching for the pupils. TSC Head Coach Seb Tidey has been working in the school recently with the Year 7 football team who have had huge success and reached the Kent Cup Final. We have been working during lessons alongside Head of PE, Mickey Capeling, to help develop the players and the teams.
Seb said “I have been in for a the last few months running session to help with team structure and implementing a playing philosophy for the team. The attitude of the boys is excellent and they have really developed in the short time I have coached them. They have excellent support from a very hard working PE department and the future looks bright for sport at the school”
The link will see TSC work in the school delivering football sessions alongside the PE department with the aim of implementing a school wide footballing philosophy. As well as this the aim is to improve the individuals in the school as well as the teams. With the TSC coaches working alongside the PE teachers it allows the sharing of ideas and more individual attention to be given to the pupils.
Head of PE Mickey Capeling said “At EHS we cover so many different sports and enter many competitions. This link with TSC has meant that sport specific expertise can be implemented to raise the already high standards. The improvements already have been huge and we are thoroughly looking forward to working alongside TSC in the future”
